My high school Bible teacher had a huge influence on me. He taught us what it really meant to love God’s Word and pursue biblical teaching. He taught us how to properly interpret God’s Word and use it to view the contemporary issues of society.

My kindergarten teacher! She was wonderful. She recorded cassette tapes for me to listen to at home. It was extremely helpful for me. She shared her love with me.

Mrs. Layaou, my 11th grade chemistry teacher, was a transformative influence in my life. She was tough, but fair. She demanded excellence and made sure we knew how to achieve it. She required hard work inside and outside of the classroom. She taught in an interactive way with quirky sayings and mnemonic devices that helped us remember our equations. She made chemistry concrete and practical.
