Teach them how important their faith is. How important the word of GOD is and how to see things differently to keep them focused on that God wants.

By helping prepare them, always teach them the word of God and to see things from God’s perspective.

One way my class helps prepare students for the challenges they will face in the world is through our unit on Christian mentorship. After studying biblical examples of mentorship and learning about its importance, students are assigned to find a Christian mentor. They are required to meet with their mentor at least once a month for the next eight months. Each month, they complete a reflection assignment based on their meeting.

I believe this practice helps students recognize the value of godly counsel and the importance of not doing life alone. The goal is for them to understand the significance of building godly relationships, especially the vital role of a Christian mentor, which is essential for navigating life’s struggles and challenges.

One way I can help prepare my students for the challenges they will face in the world is by sharing my own struggles and highlighting how God’s presence sustains us even in the midst of storms. I can also engage with them about the difficulties they are currently experiencing and guide them in navigating these challenges. By doing so, I can equip them with the skills and perspective they need to face greater challenges later in life.
