Why is it important that Christian educators know and continue to study Scripture?

If we want to show students the importance of Scripture, then we need to model for our students. We can continue to grow as a result of studying Scripture as much as our students.

It is important for Christian educators to know scripture because it should be the foundation of their teaching. It should continue to be studied because scripture can have different meanings/impacts each time it is read, depending on life’s circumstances or the stage of life the scripture is being read.

It is important because that is the only we way we can grow in our reality in Christ. There’s indeed a reality we can live in Christ while still on earth, and that only unlocks itself to us, when we study the scripture. It is our life manual. Many times, the dark world have their books and magic books, which they read to grow in their belief and yet Christians do not take studying the scriptures seriously. The more Christian educators study the scripture, the more our minds are renewed and mirrored after the life of Christ. We literally become like Christ, and when we are like Christ, we have his mind and can treat and teach the children in the way of God, opening them up to God’s way of seeing life.

We need to know the scriptures so that we can have the foundation for our lessons. We are also learning the scriptures because God will bring scripture to us with a new message.
