I think that understanding that we are all sinners because we live in a fallen world. We can offer discipline with grace to our students.

Knowing and believing that we are not perfect and that we will all make mistakes helps me to be more compassionate with the students.

It gives me the understanding that everyone is a work in progress and needs help. My understanding is that everyone is imperfect, and God has shown his love towards in making us perfect. This makes me more intentional in discipling the children by being constructive with my disciplinary measures. The goal is to win them off the wrong things for them to be who God has called them to be.

This helps me to understand their behavior and why they are acting out. It helps me to understand why we have rules and our need for Jesus.

I was blessed by the line in this lesson that said that “a reflection of man’s fallen nature is watching preschool children at recess”. I believe that my kindergartners are all perfect image-bearers who have fallen and living in a fallen world. When they exhibit the hallmarks of fallen image bearers, this truth guides me as an active participant helping them to find redemption and restoration.
