I always encourage them to try and give their best efforts in all that they do. We then sometimes talk about what they see themselves doing. When I taught a Money Management class, we spent a unit on finding their calling and passions.

I tell my students that finding God’s calling can come in many ways: something you like or feel comfortable doing; sometimes it comes as a situation you didn’t think would be for you, but God has equipped you for it.

Although I am preparing my students for whatever calling God has for them in this life, I am also preparing them for eternity. Throughout our daily activities I ask them how they can serve others. I also check in with them about their likes and hobbies. These questions help them to determine God’s will for them in His calling for them but also how to live a life reflecting His love to others, being heaven minded. I remind them if we seek God he will give us all we need to do His will.

I encourage students to try various areas of ministry, pray and seek God’s will for their lives.

I normally would ask my students to write about what they are good at or what other people do wrongly that causes them to cringe because they feel they can do it and sincerely want to make it right.
I also ask them to write about what they want to become.
