Moreland said, “The New Testament writers say, ‘These things were not done in a corner [Acts 26:26], they were done in public, and you know,’ they say to their audience, ‘that these things really happened.’ Why that is so important is this, when it comes to the New Testament, the miracles of Jesus are actually signs that He was who He claimed to be. Jesus repeatedly said, ‘Don’t believe Me because of my words. Don’t believe Me because I say I’m a prophet from God or that I’m His Son. Believe Me because the signs I do simply can’t be explained if I’m simply a man.’ ” Why would Jesus appeal to miracles as evidence of the truth of His claims?

There had been many rabbis, many teachers, many false prophets but only Jesus could use physical healing to heal the souls as well.

Because the miracle’s he did wasn’t something a man could do, but it proved that had a quality of Divinity in Hims such as no other human possessed.

His appeal to miracles makes sense as no ordinary human would be able to accomplish the wonders such as multiplying food, healing diseases at a touch or raising someone from the dead. If He accomplished these tasks, which He did, it demonstrates that He was more than a man

Actions speak louder than words and his actions shouted to the world that he is who he said he is. The Great I Am!

The miracles were the signs that he was and still is God himself. Jesus continues to give us miracles up to today like healing cancer
