It takes the person away from the outer self into the inner soul, where we find life at its core.

The goal is to help others move from presenting problems to understanding their soul’s story—a shift that requires wisdom, curiosity, and a vision of transformation. SoulCare is not about fixing behavior but about awakening the Spirit’s movement within a person’s deepest struggles. This requires reframing issues, not merely addressing them at face value. The real battle is not external circumstances but the ongoing war between flesh and spirit—between self-reliance and surrender to God.

Reframing is important in order to be deeply concerned about the soul of the person

The importance is that the shift is from thinking about ‘me’ or ‘the problem’ to thinking about the ‘us’, and how others are involved and interwoven. When it’s not just about the ‘me’ part of the problem (how I feel, what I did) one can begin to consider the relationships and the preservation/improvement of them. Also, more deeply, if that relationship is the ‘me and God’.

It brings to light the issues beneath the waterline of the iceberg by allowing the person to more fully express their story without fear of judgement. These issues give rise to the actions that are manifesting themselves above the waterline.
