The simplest answer is that God’s grace is sufficient for all situations, and we will never find a situation where God’s grace is not enough to work within us through the Holy Spirit to love and listen through it.

Where is a lot of mess and brokenness in me and the people around me and all of us. There are many times when I talk to people who reveal very hard issues in their life knowing that Grace is enough and can cover the deepest and darkest hearts is freeing for me. It means I don’t need to know how to handle or advise all sorts of scenarios. It just means I need to point people to Jesus. “His grace is sufficient for us, as his power is made perfect in our weakness.”

In Deuteronomy 31:8 says, “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” God cares for us and he also cares about how we’re feeling. Our own feelings of inadequacy, uncertainty, or any other emotion that comes up when someone shares about their journeying reality, is not too much for God to cover with love, grace, and with compassion. In the same way, his grace covers anything that moves from being hidden to something that is uncovered in someone else’s life.

It shows that nothing is impossible with God. No pit too deep, no storm too strong, no night too dark. Darkness is not darkness to Him. The night shines like the day, for darkness is as light to Him.
