Because we are walking by sight, distracted by the cares, worries and anxieties of this world, or deceived into thinking our lesser desires are our primary ones

I experience this very great pain every time I make a decision to “not” follow the life Christ has laid our for me and then must come back to His loving arms and repent. I think the other distresses, sometimes scream louder. They are in your face, and visible, whereas my own behavior before God is a quieter, more personal thing, that if I CHOOSE to, I cana try to ignore it, but God is a pursuer of his children and will not let me go, PRAISE GOD!!!

The battle between my present reality and my eternal destiny.” The extent that I experience this battle as my greatest pain is hard for me to articulate. I am currently seeking the Lord daily. The fact that I’ve been studying through this platform is a serious breakthrough for me as far as I’m concerned. I guess someone from the outside looking in can answer that question. I guess we are often not as aware of this deep distress in our soul as we are aware of the pain we incur from human to human suffering because our focus does not stay on the Lord as it should or we never had our focus on the Lord to begin with. Totally unaware of the Love standing right in front of us.

have a hunger in the soul that makes us thirsty for for the things of Christ.
So often, we cannot see our greatest need when we are in pain, of loss, rejection , death and divorce,so that it creates a deep distress in our souls. We are most often not aware of the battle that is on going in our present reality and our eternal destiny.
What I have learnt through these pains , God allowed me to go through them , only to find out I was growing, smiling through pain , having joy and sharing with others the love of God.

I experience this battle when I become complacent with believing that the struggles in my life can be addressed by something/someone other than God or that I have to accept those struggles as a part of living on this side of heaven. We are not aware of this deep distress in our soul because our focus is on ourselves as we are and not who God has created us to be.
