It is a new inclination. The Spirit has created in me a new heart and the law has changed location from head and just moral understanding it is wrong but moved to the heart a new location for sanctification and growth. (My desire for myself )

For those who are following Jesus, we have the Holy Spirit within us, which means that what we most deeply want to do is to obey God’s law. When we look at a decision from the perspective of not doing something because it’s not what we most deeply want to do, it seems less like a disciplined choice and more of a natural decision. I want God’s desires to be my desires.

The law arouses sin…but being gripped by a better affection has power to turn us away from sin

Desiring to do what is right may not always equate to what pleases God. Some things are rated as good within different cultures and circumstances but are ungodly.

However a regenerate soul with indwelling of the Holy spirit learns to respond to the leading of the Holy spirit to align them with what pleases God and brings him glory.

Doing something because it is not right, just for the sake of “it’s not right” is a decision of the mind and will, and may or may not last. It could be a temporary fix of something that goes much deeper. But when we realize we have been re-created to be a child who glorifies The Father, and we most deeply what to honor and glorify Him, The Spirit is then empowered to give us all we need to achieve what we most desire, because what we most desire is of God and not our human will.
