The Bible says that our lives will not be without suffering. Jesus suffered for our sins, wwe suffer because of our sins.

Jesus gave the ultimate price of suffering by dying on the cross for our sins and we are not worthy of the price he paid for us. Jesus did this so that through Him we can have a relationship with God because Jesus paid the price for our sins. When we face difficulties, we must remember that God is always in control and that whatever we are going through He has the bigger picture and knows what is best for us so we must trust and have faith.

We live in a broken world and hence suffering is a natural part of being human. God does not want us to suffer be he loves us so much that he gave us free-will. This free-will allows for both good and evil in this world, and with increased evil we also have suffering. Jesus endured suffering here on earth and promised us that in our suffering we are not alone: Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted (Matthew 5:4). We have the Good News. The promise of salvation and eternal life where there is no suffering. We should view difficulties, trials and suffering as an opportunity to grow closer to God and demonstrate God’d glory through everything we do. Even in our suffering so that non-believers can see the peace that surpasses all understanding.

They show us his humanity and the fact that although we cannot understand why, God has a purpose for everything.

His sufferings remind us that though last during this season on earth, they help our faith to grow and see His work in us. They also allow us to see He was willing to be human and show us empathy. He gave up more than any of us will ever need to lose. He loves us so much that He chose to be not a triumphant king on earth that destroys all in His path that do not obey as the people thought He should, but to love quietly and humbly. We need to love one another and seek to follow Him in all things everyday.
