Although I had 2 Corinthians 3:18 already underlined in my Bible, the phrase “ever-increasing glory” leapt off the page at me. Through the process of sanctification, out transformation is ever-increasing. Progress!

The encouragement found in 1 John 5:13 that we, as believers, can have confidence and assurance in the gift of eternal life, is a great reminder to not only new believers but also ones who have faithfully walked with Jesus for a lifetime. This is something that can bring joy, wonder, awe, and gratitude to all Christians throughout our lives on earth.

1, 2, 3 John are where we can learn about faith being genuine. A supernatural Joy, desire to walk in the truth of God’s Word, a new sense of kindred spirit with fellow believers, and our own experience is characterized by trusting and walking in relationship with Jesus.

I learned that every word is meant to draw us near/ closer. additionally I learned about the focus & benefits of 1 John for new believers in their walk. I also believe it would be beneficial for all believers to review in depth and familiarize themselves with the many verses of encouragement.
