I totally agree with it and encourage people often to see it as 2 way communication just like they would do with anybody else.

I love the way the Word is like a love letter to us, and we should read it like we can’t wait to find out what He has to say to us. Our prayers need to reflect what we have read in scripture to apply to our lives. I thank God for the Holy Spirit and the way He illuminates the scripture for us. We should take time to digest what has been read and meditate on how to apply it to our daily life. I love this statement that we should slow down and acquaint ourselves with the text until it becomes secured in our soul.

This reminds me of how I suffered from my experience of “unrequited love” lately. I realized, “maybe this is how He feels about my (our) ignorance of His love” along this time. It hurts so much. This love really need a two-way communication to make it works perfectly

It reminds me that I am in a personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. It is a two-way street. God wants to speak to me and wants to hear from me. If I wrote someone a letter and never received a response, how would I feel?

It impresses me because God loves us so much that He would want to communicate with us. He loves us so much that He gave us His word so that we could get to know Him better and have relationship with Him. It’s not a one-sided communication, but it is two-way.
