Our prayers need to reflect what we have read in scripture to apply to our lives. I thank God for the Holy Spirit and the way He illuminates the scripture for us. We should take time to digest what has been read and meditate on how to apply it to our daily life. I love this statement that we should slow down and acquaint ourselves with the text until it becomes secured in our soul.
