As you reflect on Christ as the Head and the church as the body, what insights come to mind?

Christ as the Head and the church as the body means that Christ is supposed to lead, and we are to follow. Many times, as Christians we want to do what feels right to us as opposed to what the bible and Christ says is the right thing to do. When we say we are followers then we ought to follow in all things. We want to be the shepherd instead of the sheep. If Christ is truly the head, then the body would be one.

That i don’t have to think things through so much as i just have to be like a dumb ole sheep and simply follow Him. 🙂

Means I need to find a God focused church and not one just stands up and says they are. No matter what nothing can function without a head. Like a snake if you remove the head it will spasm and body move, but the movements are worthless and meaningless. Same goes for church. If we removed God we just go thru movements and nothing meaningful.

That Jesus Christ, His birth, burial, and resurrection is the Central figure is, and must remain, the Head of the church. He must be preeminent above all. The members of the church body serve a vital function of worshipping and honoring Jesus as the head. They also serve in their God-given roles to further the goal of proclaiming the Gospel, serving in the community, and reaching others for Christ.

The church must submit to the Lordship of Christ being the head of the church.
