Coming humbly together with God when meditating on His word or in praise and requests helps to deepened our relationship with Him.

Prayer is an open dialogue between you and God through the Holy Spirit. When I am in regular commune with God, I can hear Him much more clearly in my Spirit, in his WORD, through music, a sunset, and really anything. However, when I’m not in daily and continual commune with God through prayer, it is harder for me to hear Him in the clutter of my mind. This is why it is important to be concerned with what you listen to and what you watch. If you fill your minds and hearts with what is not of God and don’t have a healthy, strong prayer connection with God, you won’t hear Him and His guidance or direction.

Well, it’s like any relationship. The more you share, talk, commune with each other-the closer you become. You rely on that relationship more than just asking and receiving.

Prayer is about drawing closer to God in our relationship. It’s about strengthening our faith and trust in Him as we go into prayer.
