I believe it is God’s word but I find it very interesting to research and strengthen my belief in the text and its historical accuracy.

I have always believed the Bible was God’s Word. I believe in the sovereignty of God. Those authors were inspired to write what God wanted us to know. The scriptures have been preserved, and ancient ruins prove the Bible is accurate and true. Our God is always in control.

For some reason, I always believed the bible to be accurate. When I first met Jesus, it was through a lady who came to my house just after I had cried to God to help me. I only knew her as the mother of two girls that I went to high school with. i was now an adult with two children. she told me that Jesus told her to come see me; I still do not know how she knew where I lived. She asked to come in and to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what was needed. I did not know Jesus or the Holy Spirit. She then prayed about and against all the scary supernatural things that had been occuring in my home, and after she was done, she opened her bible and told me that God promised to take care of all who call on the Lord who is Jesus and read ps.91 to me. Then she left. as days went by and scary presences came, I called on the name of the Lord and they left! I read over ps.91 and over the course of a few months I gave my life to Jesus and believed in the bible because God kept His promise in the bible

I don’t remember ever doubting but first approached it to find out whether it was plausible or not that it could come from God. Then I observed that other religious or ‘spiritual’ non-Christian authors referred to passages from it to support some of their beliefs. I read it and found the parts that i understood plausible and insightful. Also, I did not find any articles that comprehensively or conclusively refuted the Bible. I expected that God would reveal himself to mankind if he existed in written form and the bible self-assertion/explanation in 2 Tim 3: 14 – 17 blew me away and for some reason I believed it. No other book has made such claims.

nice to know the historical evidence of places and people described in the Bible. But more pertinent for me has been the Word of God comes alive for me in a very direct and personal way, and knowing a living and omnipresent God is suffice for me, for the Word is God.
