As Christians, we are a free people. Jesus set us free. John 8:31,32,36 says if we hold to Jesus’ teaching we will know the truth, and the truth will set us free. V36 ‘If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.’ 1 Corinthians 6:12 says ‘-but I will not be mastered by anything.’ This includes being manipulated by other people. This is against Skinner’s manipulation approach where man can be manipulated by science. This is wrong in God’s eyes.

    1Corinthians 6:2….

Manipulation is the root of control.

The Bible is more in the mindset of freedom of control through the death of Jesus Christ by way of the CROSS.

1 Corinthians 6:12. We are not to manipulate people, this is wrong. We should seek to develop people and not make them submissive, conforming, or docile. We are to bring the best out of them.

The Bible tells us that we have freedom of choice, so anytime someone tries to control us, it goes against Christian theology.

Christians should be properly frightened by what they read in such books as B.F.Skinner’s Beyond Freedom and Dignity. Control of other people in order to achieve some purpose desirable to the controller is manipulating and wrong.
