I tend not to worry about much, because I refer to I Peter 5:7, “… give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.” I am a firm believer in this verse. It gives me a sense of peace and calm, knowing that I can pray to God, telling Him all that I am concerned about, and yet be at ease.

Daily devotionals has been a great help for me in overcoming worry. God’s Word reminds me of His love, His presence, and knowing that I can put my trust in Him. I also make it a point to stay in communication with the Lord throughout the day, not just boxed into ‘prayer time.’ I try to keep in mind that the Lord is an active part of my life all hours of the day.

Seeking out God and remembering that His plan is always better than what we can imagine. He will do what is ultimately good in our lives even amidst the bad. Also, I remember in the past how God has walked with me and helped me through difficult times, and the good He has brought through that. I also love to dive into music, take walks, and watch tv but if I lean too heavily on those things, the worry just lingers and festers. Seeking God is the ultimate key as I use physical means to help bring some refreshment and peace too.
