  What strategies do you use to combat complacency?

  I have been working in the correctional setting for many years, understanding that no every offender that you encounter in the correctional setting will try to manipulate. I learned to appear to be complacency while maintaining my situational awareness. So far help me to see though a lot of intents of manipulation.

  Always being aware of my surroundings and the situation I am in. In addition, I pray to the Lord everyday to not allow me to get lazy or complacent.
