The easiest part for me is being relational. I enjoy getting to know people and forming connections. I find it natural to ask questions about their interests and hobbies, which helps build trust.
The most challenging part for me is yielding to the Holy Spirit’s work and results. I often feel pressured to see immediate outcomes, like how many people respond to my message, which can lead to frustration.
To improve in yielding to the Spirit, I can focus on prayer before and after my interactions. I’ll pray specifically for guidance during conversations and trust that the Holy Spirit is at work, regardless of visible results. I can also remind myself to celebrate small victories, like a meaningful conversation, rather than just focusing on numbers. This approach will help me stay grounded and patient in my ministry efforts.

Being Relational is so easy for me. I love getting to know people, their stories and what they are like. It is challenging for me to remember always to pray, I tend to try and rely on the Holy Spirit’s power in me. I want to shoot up quick prayers at all time in the ministry opp but specifically alone before I am with the team. And I want to memorize the verses that explain the gospel and find a clear way to communicate it effectively to the players.

Being prayerful is the easiest for me. I’m not always yielded to the Holy Spirit in the gym when I’m focused on getting my workout in. I will work on listening more keenly to His prompting.

Prayer is easiest for me. I’m usually in touch with God. Probably the most challenging is being relational. However; I believe I can still relate to a good amount people. I don’t always touch peoples lives but am getting better at that.

Praise is the easiest. Expressing gratitude and worship toward God, especially when things are going well, feels natural. Praising God for His goodness and provision often comes from a place of joy and recognition of His work in your life.
Practical ways to incorporate Praise: One way to consistently incorporate praise into ministry is by starting meetings, chapel services, or group discussions with a moment of gratitude. Encourage athletes and coaches to reflect on and share things they are thankful for, linking it to God’s faithfulness.

Discipleship is important because it helps to orchestrate a deeper connection with God. It’s vital to our maturity as believers to move from accepting Christ as Savior to accepting Him as Lord of our lives and discipleship helps in facilitating that growth process.

I believe discipleship is the key to being a Godly person. We should be striving to help draw others to the kingdom of God.

Discipleship is crucial because it is the process of growing and maturing in faith, helping people develop a deeper relationship with God and live out their beliefs. It’s more than just teaching information, it’s about guiding and mentoring others to apply biblical principles in their daily lives. Through discipleship, individuals are encouraged, held accountable, and equipped to share their faith with others. It fosters spiritual growth, builds strong, supportive communities, and ensures that faith is passed on to the next generation. Ultimately, discipleship is about transformation, helping people become more like Christ in their character, actions, and mindset.

The Great Commission is clear. We are all called to study and learn about God. Through His books is how we learn of Him. Faith comes by hearing His word. That’s the start of discipleship.

I believe discipleship is the key to Christianity. We must be about drawing individuals to the kingdom of God.
