As my faith and knowledge in Christ have grown, my giving has become a priority, periodic and personal. I put Christ first in my life and give frequently beyond my tithes. I am thankful for all Christ has blessed me with beyond material possessions. I am only giving back to Him what He has given to me. Having a private deposit for giving is a new concept for me. In this area of giving I will seek God’s direction and I know He will show me the way.

We have made giving a regular part of our rhythm, but we don’t always give specifically to the poor.

My giving is often premeditated, seldom rash or out of pressure from others. I also prefer to give to the poor than to the urban church which, in my context and to my opinion, is already very comfortably fed. However, in the last years since COVID, giving periodically has been more challenging for me.

I excel at giving periodically, but sometimes prioritizing the poor can be challenging. Prioritizing tithes and offering have become easier over the years, but above that we should remember the poor.
