Sometimes a one-chapter book can make a powerful point, right? Especially now that you can visualize the proud country of Edom sitting up in the red mountains of Petra.
But did you take away anything about the tendency we all share to benefit from the suffering of others? Did you feel a twinge of guilt over some petty grudges and long-standing tensions that could use a good dose of forgiveness?
Sometimes keeping track of the past can hurt us, and some deliberate “amnesia” could go a long way to restoring family relations.
