Not really surprised me, but this has sparked interest into going deeper. The biographical form is interesting, but for Greek literature this isn’t a classic tragic story, because the ending is so great.

In the introduction of how scholars through the ages have viewed the gospel, it at first surprised me how the lecturer introduces the nuances of English literature. Besides being a biography, the gospel can be classified as a tragedy or as a comedy! This is not in Chinese literature; a Chinese wouldn’t have classified it as such. A Chinese might have classified it as a classical piece of fiction, akin to the Romance of the Red Chamber.
