  What principles from Timothy and Titus can you apply to board members?

  I think the key elements need to be spiritual maturity (too often we go for the overzealous new believer) and they must exhibit the fruit of the spirit. Add to that the high moral character Paul mentions in the scripture.

  They need to be trustworthy, giving, have a good reputation, have self-control, be strong in their biblical understanding, be a mature Christian and have a servants heart.
