How do you approach passages that seem to contradict each other? Is it appropriate to fit every passage into an organized system? Explain your response.

Knowing that all scripture is profitable for teaching, and that God is not a contradictory God, I must study both the scriptures and their individual contexts, and see if there are any other related or even referenced passages that provide clarity.

God is not the author of confusion. If something appears to contradict, it is the fault of the interpreter. Go back and research.

I have not found a contradicting passage as of yet. There might have been some passages that upon first glance and in my native language would seem they contradict but once I go back and look at the time the passage was written, the context, and who is speaking I have yet to find one.

I used to think passages contradicted, but I’ve learned to take passages in proper context through exegetical studies and I have discovered that there are NO contradiction in God’s word. The most important key that I have found is to keep my opinion, and myself, out of what the Bible says, and to ignore every teaching that I have ever received when approaching God’s Word in truth!
