Tell of several ways in which today’s culture affects the way you view the Bible.

The culture views the Bible differently than how God’s children view it. The culture no longer views the Bible as the authoritative Word of God. Satan uses the world (culture) to pull believers and unbelievers away from God’s truth. The culture tries to tell us the Bible is no longer relative, it’s not politically correct, it’s racist, sexiest, etc. The culture pulls verses out of context and puts it’s own interpretation and twists on it. If believers do not read and study the Bible themselves, it is easy to be swayed by the prevailing thoughts and attitudes of culture. Believers must continually renew their minds by taking in the word of God.

Today’s culture stress very much on self and this is a great hindrance to coming close to God with humility.
We have almost instant access to information and can get immediate answers to many challenges without needing to come to a physical community.
Today’s culture promote less of community living, more self dependence. -
Today’s culture based on fast and easy while God ways not always fast and easy

The biggest affect is just the fact that too many people believe the Bible is not inspired. They believe it’s history but not it’s inspiration making it difficult to get people to believe it is the Word of God. Also the education system our children have grown up in teaching that things are ok that the Bible absolutley condemns. Our culture today replaces the values that are taught in the Bible with secular ideas and instant gratification. They get their facts not from Godly mentors or teachers but from internet search engines or social media applications. It seems we spend more time disputing what has been taught online and seen in the social media enviroment than actually teaching.

One big way is my use of a digital Bible rather than a bound book when I read. Media platforms provide ways to listen to the Bible and Bible teachers from around the world that would not have been possible a millennium ago.
Another area that our current culture effects us is our “busyness” with life that causes us take only short doses of the Bible at times rather than a complete meal in the Word.
