Darwin left room for his theory to be disproved if a complex organism existed without numerous shifts, like the biological motor. Most of all he concludes that science fails to trump the Bible.

Essentially the fact that the initial and recognized gaps in his evidence have only grown larger rather than converging to help his theory. The slow and gradual change has instead show to be evidence of “stasis” and then sudden emergence.
