There is not a connected ancestor. (DNA) Geological timescale needed for evolution.

One weakness of Darwin is the Cambrian explosion where “major body plans and new organisms came into existence in a biologically short period of time.” This is a weakness because if there is evolving taking place, it would have to occur over a long period of time. Another weakness is that the fossil evidence does not support a tree of life as Darwin had thought.

A question I have for a Darwinist would be: at what point does humanity begin? If each human being can be traced back to prior human beings (mother/father), at what point did a human become a human without having human parents? How could the offspring be so different as to now be considered human while the parents would not be so?

I thought it was profound how he said that Darwin himself left his thesis open for rejection, being more virtuous that his followers. The idea that the bacterium motor has to exist with all parts and no gradual building of the parts would allow it to exist, is another strong argument, in a line of many similar cases, that gradual modification would in fact not allow life to continue. Gaps in development have not been filled in but as more fossil evidence is found only brings more gaps.

There is no evidence of a common ancestor. Darwin’s tree of life does not exist.
