He used to persecute those who followed Jesus. Now, God has made him a tool to share with others how he has converted and seen the light of God. He was able to go into all the synagogs because he was Jewish and speak with everyone. He was also a Roman citizen, which helped him greatly as well when he was imprisoned and beaten.

He used his background as a strong example that anyone can be saved.

His background gave him an advantage in many different scenarios. His jewish heritage and high education of Jewish law and tradition gave him a position of high authority and respect in the Jewish communities. His Roman citizenship gave him respect and grace from Roman authorities that he would not have received if he was just seen as a Jew.

Paul’s background was significant in tearing down barriers to his life mission.

Paul was zealous for the law and knew it very well. when he has the encounter with Jesus, He learns about the Gospel and as he starts preaching, he presents Jesus prophesied about in the Old Testament and in the New Testament fulfilling those prophesies. His background made it easier to explain Jesus, taking out of the Old and the New Testaments.
