His childhood, and heritage as well as his trade made him relatable to many people. He was also a sinner transformed. His background made his testimony with Jesus’s healing power believable.

After Paul’s conversion, his background was instrumental in carrying out his life mission. His background in trade as a tentmaker also allowed him to support himself and build relationships with local communities.

He was a man that was completely changed from a hateful pharisee into a graceful man of God.

Paul was a Jew but also had Roman citizenship. Furthermore, he had an excellent education in the Torah. All these were his edges that he took advantage of to expand God’s kingdom to the ends of the earth. Nevertheless, his strength wasn’t in his life’s background but in God alone, who qualified him for the unique service.
