Paul who was religiously Jewish but had grown up immersed in the Greek culture used this kind of background to relate both to the Jews and to the Gentiles in spreading the Gospel despite his obsticles and he was determined; which as a result was able to open churches especially in the gentile part of the world. Hallelujah!!

Clearly, he was a good fit for the path ahead of him. His cultural understanding, both of Romans and Greeks allowed him to move freely in these cultures. His Jewish background gave him the necessary footing to manuever those paths as well.

As a Roman citizen, he could freely travel throughout the Empire at that time. As a trained Jewish pharisee, he was well versed in God’s Laws so could use the scriptures to bolster his work spreading the gospel.

Paul refers to himself as the chief of sinners in 1 Timothy. He states that if God can have mercy and show forgiveness to him, then he definitely can do it for other sinners. His Jewish background was ordained by God and helped him to further the ministry God had for him.
