I honestly feel broken and inadequate for the journey ahead, but I guess that’s the whole point. I can’t do anything apart from Christ and with Him, all things are possible. I really appreciated how Dr. Crabb summarized what we did in Module 1; it really brought more things into clarity for me. I pray that I can be an effective agent and amabassador to know, explore, discover and touch a soul to love God and put all others things aside.

I feel a fair amount of fear but a good deal of excitement. The iea of seeing how God will move in the conversations and then in other people’s lives increases my faith and my desire to see how He will continue to work in my life.

I realize that wisdom is needed from God and the Scriptures to help another person and has to applied only after we have listened and gained entrance into that person’s life. We need another person’s permission to enter their lives. Otherwise, we are trespassing.

I think understanding your motivations as a counselor is very wise and helpful. I never really thought about it until after these lessons, but without being aware and open to the Holy Spirit’s promptings or even convicting us of our selfish motives, we could do serious damage to another persons soul.

I am excited about using these steps to take previous training deeper. We did not focus on my soul so I think this will be a great addition to my “toolbelt.”
