Knowing these ten concepts helps me realize the importance of the soul of the individual rather than just trying to solve the problem. Through this, I feel inadequate because I know I can’t do all this with the knowledge I have but in the end, It leads me to depend on the Holy Spirit.

Right now, I feel a little anxious. I feel unprepared to effectively help someone else. I am realizing that there a lot going on on the inside of me that I have to come to terms with. For example, I have wondered if the way I think and feel about some of the things I hear, helping or making it more difficult for me to help this person. I do believe as I continue in these courses, I will have a better understanding of myself that will help me better understand and help others.

The first feeling I have is confusion. Concept 2 & 7 are similar. 3-6 all talk about what a mess I am. How can I expect to have a Spirit-led vision of what a person can achieve before I know them or receive wisdom from the Spirit? Am I really motivated by self-need when I want to help someone else? I agree with getting to know a person – deeply? with great curiosity? There are very few people whom I want to probe deeply into my soul with great curiosity, so do I really want to do that to others? I agree that advise and analysis are not a good idea. I look forward to receiving power, direction and passion from the Spirit as I seek to help others with their problems and to help them seek a deeper relationship with God.

I feel a great amount of authentic passion: this is what I was made for. There is no perfection in this journey, but a surrendered and partnered soul to the Holy Spirit can yield the “Kingdom Come”.

As I reflect on the Ten Key Concepts of the Basic Model of SoulCare I feel excitement, fear, curiosity about myself, how will I ever be able to provide this care when I talk to people, is it going to be too difficult, do I really want to do it.
