I try to be. Anytime i have to reprimand or discipline a student, it is with the goal of redemption and the restoration of relationship in mind. Holding students accountable is a form of redemption, so when they fail an assignment or have a discipline issue, holding them accountable is a message of redemption.

The Christian teacher is a teacher of redemption because we believe that fallen humanity place their faith in Christ and are redeemed from their sins and granted eternal life.

Yes, I want to help my students become more sanctified and give them chances to keep trying even after making several mistakes. We are all imperfect and I try to demonstrate the grace God gives to me with my students.

Every classroom should be a classroom of redemption. When I think about how God has redeemed my soul it’s only fitting to extend that nurturing and redeeming spirit to our students and adults.

I believe I am a “teacher of redemption”. I try to put myself in my students shoes and I understand the struggles many of them face, so I try to be compassionate with them, yet firm. When I have to send a student to the office or he/she gets in trouble, I try to use that as a teaching moment to the other students left in the classroom. I want to make them aware that we are all in the same boat, and that the most important thing is to restore that student to the classroom, because we are a team.
