Are you a “teacher of redemption” in your classroom? Explain.

Deleted User06/10/2022 at 13:16I pray every day that I am. I want my students to know that I love them, and I want the best for them. Yes, with that comes the responsibility to correct them when needed. After disciplining a student, I have them pray to God and ask for forgiveness. If they won’t, then I ask them if I can pray with them. I try to make it clear to my first graders that it is not them I am disappointed with, but the behavior. I try to make it clear that I love them, not the behavior (sin).

Deleted User06/09/2022 at 13:55Yes I try to every day though I’m sure that there have been times I’ve fallen short of this. I do this both by teaching about redemption through Christ and by living it out in the way I approach my students especially when discipline is invovled.

Deleted User06/08/2022 at 09:17I believe so. I show up each day and share the love of God as it written in the scriptures. I do my best to remain consistent not only in my routines, but conduct towards all staff and students.

Deleted User04/19/2022 at 15:06I have been saved by grace through faith, not by my works. Jesus redeemed me and gives me the opportunity to share his ultimate redemption with others. I am learning and growing in this grace which I extend to my students as a teacher of redemption. The mistakes and conflicts are opportunities to learn and try again because Christ died so we might be in relationship with God. This relationship changes all aspects of my person and viewpoint, which inspires me to share and encourage students to walk in redemption themselves and share it with the students around them.
