I have not actively tried to teach redemption or even discuss redemption in my classroom previously. I need to look for opportunities this coming year to focus on this aspect of my faith.

I am trying to be a “teacher of redemption” by the way I treat students, the way I discipline students and how I am trying to integrate Biblical principles of redemption into my lessons.

Yes. When my student makes mistakes or asks questions pertaining to the idea of redemption, I try my best to model grace and love and point to Christ and what He has done for us.

I can say I am a teacher of redemption. I am a teacher of second, third and beyond chances. I allow my students to evaluate the situation and see where their behavior and actions fit in the situation. When they are able to figure it out and come to me with reason or help redemption is highlighted. As far as my students knowing that this is called redemption, I have not made them aware of that, but this will be something I will work on for this coming school year.

Yes, I feel I am a teacher of redemption in my classroom. Not only do I teach what redemption is and why it is important, but I try to model it through my actions and reactions with the students. When students respond inappropriately to a situation I will give them a chance to “redeem” the situation by redoing the scenario in a way that is more pleasing to God. Then I will explain that God is a god of second chances, forgiveness, and redemption. There is nothing we can do that God can’t redeem if we allow Him to.
