We choose certain behaviour to met our goals.
But through foolishness we often choose to ignore the fact that the means(behaviour)determines the ends (goal)
Often the goals are not Spirit Led and the behaviours even further towards more foolishness

Our chosen behavior is simply the means to the end, aka our chosen goal.

The relationship between chosen goals and chosen behavior is, chosen goals are the things we pursue, i.e.: God, a relationship, a possession, whatever it is that would be the chosen goal. The chosen behavior is then what I see as the means to getting the goal – how will I behave, react, interact, so that I get the desired goal in the end.

Chosen goals are what we have in mind to get for ourselves the satisfaction of what we believe are our deepest desires. The chosen behaviours are what we strategize will achieve for us those goals.

It is good to set goals and work towards the accomplishment of those goals. But how we get there and the behaviour and choices we make need to be Christ centred and always with the ultimate goal of pleasing God and doing the will of God as central to the goals we choose and the behaviour and choices we make in life to achieve those goals.
