If we compare it to our bodies, our brain, and our CNS lead our bodies as Christ being the head leads the church ( the body).

Jesus Christ loves His Church, the church is the body of believers, those who follow and love the Lord Jesus Christ and follow His way and truth. Christ is our Lord

He is above me positionally, and is the brains of the outfit. The brain tells the body how to move and function. Christ will tell me how to move and function if I am listening and under His authority in my attitude.

Each Christian has a role to play in the body of Christ. We all have different gifts that should be used for the edifying of the body.
