No one person can be everything. It is important in church to value people for their gifts. I also think it is important to realize that God is raising people up into where He wants to use them. We have to be careful not to thwart their progress.

Jesus loves us enough to do more than live, die, and rise again from the dead. He loves us enough to lead us every step along the way. He is the Head. He didn’t just show us, He is still showing and leading us. We, as the body, are not perfect. We forget who the Head is. But, He forgives us, and continues to lead us.

Christ as the Head would be controlling factor and guide the functioning of the body- the church.
Christ has the preeminence in all aspects of the life, including worshipping, thanksgiving, adoration, and honor.
Body will draw all its instructions and directions from Christ the Head.

Both individually and collectively we were created to be totally dependent on God and each other.

We are called to live in obedience to God’s Word, carrying a Christlike attitude as we exercise the gifts guided by the Holy Spirit. The bottom line, and most important of all, is to love one another as we love ourselves, out of our love for God.
