As you reflect on Christ as the Head and the church as the body, what insights come to mind?

I feel relief from the statement that Christ is the Head and the church is the body. It seems to me that people are spending their lives in exhaustion trying to find how to live to experience meaning and satisfaction. I think you can see this from people’s obsessions over things like fitness, looks, and cloths; Further, the confusion that we see in our society now, in regard to morality (support for Hamas), sexuality (homosexual marriage), and gender (trans-genderism), shows that people are turning over every rock to find meaning. Our society has rejected the Lord and is now seeking for what only He can provide in anything else.
The fact that Christ has come to Earth, taught me how to live by His example, and that there is an organization (the church) that equips me through teaching, supports me through providing avenues to serve, and empowers me to live out my convictions is incredibly freeing. Christ lived, He taught us, left the spirit for us, and now it is up to us to do His work and glorify His name as a Christian community.

When reflecting I notice how important all parts of the body are. No member is insignificant. I need to be more present in my church.

The head is the source of everything. The body functions on whatever the head think and says. Jesus is the head and whatever He wants us to do we follow.

The head of the body controls the various parts of the body. It may command the feet to take it somewhere or it may command the hands to serve someone or the mouth to teach. We should listen for direction and instructions.

The church as the body should follow the words and commandments of the head, CHRIST!!!The head gives the many functions of the body instructions of what to do. Each should perform, to the best of its ability, what is commanded by the head. Performing its unique function in harmony with the rest of the body Performing their unique functions lead by the head,as well.
