As you reflect on Christ as the Head and the church as the body, what insights come to mind?

Christ being the head has the eyes or vision of where we are and where we are going. We are not the blind being led by the blind. We each have a purpose to grow up into the head. Since we are not the head, we need to trust him to lead us.

Just as one of our hymns say, “We are many Parts”. One body coming together to share the word and love that comes from our Father. To continue the mission that Paul and Peter began.

As our brain acts as the control system for our body, so does Christ lead the body of believers. With out the head, the body dies. We have to follow the lead of the control system, and respond accordingly.

The members of the body work together for the good of the whole and for the accomplishment of God’s work in this world.

We. As the body should all look to the head, that is Christ Jesus, for guidance and direction each day. We should trust Him to help us walk in the spirit as we serve Hi.m
