Christ being the head, we should always follow and not go our own way.
we depend in Christ for wisdom and guidance.
we should be glad Jesus is the one guiding us and supporting our needs, because He knows best.
We can rest assure that Christ as the head we won’t be misled.

Church works as one body. It consists of fellow believers that acknowledged Jesus as their saviour. As one body, the believers need to be united so that the body can function well.
Jesus is the head of the body. He leads the body. This means, Jesus is the leader to all followers of Him. Without the Head, the body will not function and in fact the body is death.

The church only has purpose under Christ. Apart from Christ the church is dead. There is no life without the resurrecting power of Jesus. If a group of people want to come together and create a “church” without Jesus taking the lead, it will perish and lead them to death.

Our gaze has to be on Jesus for the body to function as it is intended. It doesn’t mean the body will never hurt or never have a problem, but seeking His face as our leader is essential for a thriving and healthy church.

If you lose your head, all other parts cannot function. Therefore we must be connected to Jesus so we can function properly.
