As you reflect on Christ as the Head and the church as the body, what insights come to mind?

Christ is the authority over the church, just as the head is the authority and instructor of the body. It actually is good news that me, in all of my brokenness and all the ways I fall short, am not the one who has ultimate authority.

We as individuals are still part of the Body which means we need to be invested and committed in the local church to serve and also to learn. It is all bigger than just each of us as individuals.

Can’t have one without the other

Our job is to submit to the authority of Christ and follow Him no matter what.

It shows his authority and dominion ultimately over us as individuals and as a whole. He is the master mind behind everything and is in charge of what we follow.
