It would be the obvious concept that Jesus wants to walk alongside us, and we need to recognize His existence and fellowship at all times is there for us. It is always us who need to invite Him into our lives as we are the ones who are distant when we are in lonely places.

This we how we practice being good. You have to give the Lord a chance to work through your life.

I think speaking with God throughout the day demonstrates our need for Him for each moment of our lives. It is comforting to know that even when we think we are alone, He is always there and always ready to hear us and communicate with us. We talk with people and create relationship with them over many interactions. It should be the same for our relationship with God. We really won’t have a deep relationship with Him, if we don’t talk with Him more than once a day.

This is an area that I’ve grown in over the last 5+ years. I don’t see my time with God as an event confined to a certain time. I commune with Him all day.

I know from experience that this is a beautiful feeling. All of my Good Mornings, Hellos, and Good Evenings are always laced with the love of Christ. I share myself and my love for God everywhere I go.

I used to have this kind of relationship with God, but I misunderstood Him on something, became resentful towards Him and became “spiritually callous”. My relationship with Him then became one of obedience and serving, but without much connection with Him. This is changing as I confess my sins and I am so thankful!!
