Sometimes we are faced with situations that only prayer time with Jesus can give us wisdom and insight to know how to react. There are also people looking to see how to handle private situations that we may not know anything about.

In this passage, it was interesting to note how Jesus chose to be a companion to the disciples on the road to Emmaus and how his conversation with them resulted in their ‘eyes being opened’. It reminds us that true wisdom comes from God.

I was taught to be ready at all times, which to me means taking Christ with me everywhere I go and trying to be Christ like throughout the day. I cannot accomplish anything on my own anyway. It makes sense to do what Jesus has done. I’m imperfect but strive to be more like Jesus each day.

What impressed me the most is the idea that we can come to feel that connection by continuing to commune with GOD throughout our day, building the relationship with Him in every part of our being and our lives.

I love how Jesus came near to them, and they didn’t have to go looking for him. The thought that Jesus is near whenever I need Him is so comforting. I love that I am never alone or abandoned and I can just speak with Him about everything. I don’t have to wait for a certain place or time, I can talk to Him anytime. He cares if I am distressed or struggling, and I can trust Him to help me in ways that will always be best for me.
