I am impressed with bringing divine dialog through out the day because it helps my mind to be stayed on Jesus. The Psamist reminds us that with the word hidden in your heart, you will not sin. If I have divine dialog throughout the day then I will meditate and communicate and hopefully be obedient to the word.

The two people who were talking and discussing about the turn of events that happened due to which they were upset, did not realise that as they were talking Jesus knew what was happening and was intently listening to their conversations of grief and despair. The experience had caused them trouble due to which they were having an internal conflict also. In our life circumstances also, there are times when we have a constant struggle within ourselves due to various issues, problems, and uncertainties. Christ is willing to invade into our circumstances and remain in constant dialogue with us through the way. The part that impressed me is the fact that every moment Jesus is aware of our weaknesses, and He is an ever-ready companion even if we do not know, we should recognize Hid presence and talk to Him about How we feel and surely He can enlighten our minds and provide solutions to every issue.

The account of the Road to Emmaus seems to indicate two postures of divine dialogue. First, discussing with another disciple (believer) those aspects of living and following God that confuse us. Clearly these two disciples were discussing the events of Passover and weren’t sure what to do with it so they discussed in their own knowledge of the things of God to try to reach conclusion about the Messiah. Secondly, when Jesus speaks to them, they take what He says, they ponder it, they treasure it so much so when Jesus reveals himself as Messiah they answer “were not our hearts burning in our chests as he spoke” and they leave changed by the encounter. Both, discussing with other believers and responding to the clear revelation of God of his Word and purposes change us to follow Christ more. We should seek both opportunities often and rely on His word for the final authority.

What impressed me most is the fact that God always wants to commune with me. When I think about divine dialog throughout the day, I feel loved and encouraged. It gives me so many opportunities to thank and praise Him when I communicate with Him throughout the day.

Divine dialogue is a treasure, I value my communication with God above all else. Throughout the day it can be a simple whispered “thanks” for a blessing or a sigh of need, the prayer can also be a devoted time to reading my Bible.
