Christian Learning Center Forums Discussion Forum At the beginning of this program we learned: “People have many reasons for rejecting the Christian faith. Some may admire Christ but dislike His followers. Others find it difficult to accept any faith that claims to be the only way to God. Why would anyone limit themselves to only one of the world’s great religions?” How valid are each of these objections? What is your response to each?

It is much easier to fall into the secular world than it is to follow Christ. Why? The secular world paints a beautiful picture in exactly the way we want to see it. Added to that, the world tells us to not trust anyone or anything. In order to believe in Christ and follow Him, we have to trust in Him. We have to trust He will take care of our needs. Just like today, it is easier to dislike someone because of what other people have said. Too many have never experienced Christ and His love… making it easier to believe what the world says about Him.

It is easy to fall into the secular world instead of researching and understanding the truth. The world teaches us to be cautious of trust. If we have difficulty trusting, it is not easy to have faith. Jesus was a good man that suffered and wanted to help others not suffer. When people heard his teaching they became faithful and followed him. The people that did not believe Jesus did not want to hear his teachings, instead they listened to what others said about Jesus. The proof is in all the miracles Jesus performed. His followers saw this proof and they believed.

Unfortunately people reject the Christian faith for many reasons. The church has been a perfect excuse to run away from religion or a relationship with God. Many point to the faults of the church or pastor as an excuse to not believe. They also deny the possibility that there is only one way to heaven. These are all invalid objections because one people are faulty and so they shouldn’t depend on people for their belief systems. In addition, one way to heaven isn’t a reason to have disbelief but if anything more reason to believe. If following any religion or god could enter you into heaven wouldn’t it all contradict itself. Jesus has done miraculous signs and wonders in public that have been witnessed by many to deny that this didn’t happen would go against many testimonies. Every time he did a miracle he would reveal more of his identity. He was the son of God, the one who can forgive sins, and give death or life. No other god or prophet has done this many miracles. It makes sense for him to be the only way.

    1. People have many reasons for rejecting….
Many people believe Jesus was a good and even a great person or a prophet, but to go further to say He is the Savior of the world is a whole different topic. People want to deny that eternity or life after death is a real thing so why believe. Some “Christians make it hard for people to believe because being a Christian is just a title, not a true relationship. The example has become tainted therefore it is hard for some people to believe through the bad examples.
    2. Others find it difficult to accept…
Again, it is easier to believe that we don’t really need God or that eternity exists than to believe there isn’t one way to God.
    3. Why would anyone limit themselves….
Our tolerant society makes the claim that each one choose what to believe. It is a work of the enemy to set a mind to this deceitful way of looking at God an eternity.

There is no validity is each statement. Faith to believe means to accept God at His Word. Believing in the absolute inerrancy of the Bible is the foundation of our view of everything. It is easy to believe that everyone just goes about things as they see it, but to know and see as the Spirit gives discernment is truly finding the Way, the Truth and the Life.

People reject the Christian faith because of lack of belief of a sovereign deity which includes God and Son united. It’s difficult to embrace One God capable of controlling nature and human beings. The limitation exist but followers cannot explain the creation nor the miraculous occurrences attributed to Jesus. Valid objections because of lack of knowledge and referral to believe, I Am the Great I Am.
