Some may admire Christ but dislike His followers. Others find it difficult to accept any faith that claims to be the only way to God. Why would anyone limit themselves to only one of the world’s great religions?” How valid are each of these objections? What is your response to each?

While I can understand why people may raise these objections, that does not mean I think they are sound arguments. For example, if the objection is not wanting to be limited to one religion, there are logical issues here. Various religions have fundamentally different and incompatible worldviews; when it comes down to it, most of them will ask you to adhere to only their beliefs and eschew any others. Christianity is not unique in that. Following that, if these religions have fundamentally different and incompatible worldviews, it doesn’t make logical sense for them all to be correct.

To that I would reply that a true Christ follower is not perfect and should strive to love others with a spirit of gentility rather than harsh judgment.
Other nonbelievers would rather adopt synchronism where they can pull from different religions and worldviews to best suit their lifestyle. In this day and age everything promotes self indulgence. To be told that there’s one truth goes against the worldly culture that surrounds us. As believers we must stand firm on Biblical truths, recognize what is going on around us, and not water down the gospel to fit what the world wants.

Believing in the Bible requires a great deal of study which many are not willing to do. Regarding the topic of “some may admire Christ, but dislike his followers.” That reasonated with me in many ways. The hypocracy of Christians appauls me. Yes, we are saved sinners, but actions of many Christians do not mirror beliefs or Biblical mandates. I believe this is one reason why many are leaving the church.
