Before this lesson, how would you have described what a good leader does? How would you describe what a good leader does now?

I feel that my answer would be the same, and as this lesson says, it is quite difficult to put into exact words. I think for me, the best answer is that a phenomenal leader has the “it” factor of a leader. Many definitions, however most people recognize specific people as “leaders” who they want to follow.

I would have said a good leader is a servant leader because he/she serves/supports the followers.
Now I would say a good leader takes their followers somewhere they haven’t been and makes them better in the process.

A good leader draws people to a better place.
A good leader leads people to a better spot.

In the past I would define leadership as serving the people you hope to lead. Now I am reminded that leaders and coaches take us from where we are to where we need to be. Serving will be involved, but leadership is more process driven than outcome based.
