Before this lesson, how would you have described what a good leader does? How would you describe what a good leader does now?

Before the lesson, my opinion of a good leader was someone who consisted of certain leadership skills to guide and assist someone in their decision-making or the journey they were on.
The statement “When
we get where we want to be, we’re ready to be led again” was very striking and made me see leadership in a different way. Leadership is moving people from where they are, to a better place. -
I feel like I’ve always had a good understanding of leadership. As a coach, I try to be a servant leader, doing things for my team that goes unnoticed and being available for the athletes to get a workout in at any moment or if they need to talk. I also strive to help them become better people. Focusing on their value as humans is far more important than accomplishing tasks/winning games. My perspective I feel lines up with the video.

I would have described a good leader as someone that encourages and helps people to a common goal or destination. I would keep the same description but add that a good leader is one that follows in the footsteps of other leaders with humility.

Before this lesson, I have an excellent concept of leadership.
Now – Lead is a verb! It’s an act!

I would have described what a good leader does by how he serves, and how he leads by example. Good leadership takes us to a better place than where we were.
